As a ‘New World Vegan’ (NWV), I do not advocate violence in any way towards farmers or meat lovers.
Embracing other people and accepting that as humans we all have choices to eat meats or dairy products. It is the manufacturing process for meats and dairy products that are at fault, not those trying to make a living (farmers) or consumers (meat lovers).
As consumers in society become more educated and are made aware of the harmful and dangerous chemicals in meats and dairy products, then this will lead to social change away from the manufactured, profit-driven, food industry.
Therefore, I class the overinflated Joey Carbstrong as an ‘Old World Vegan’ (OWV). I read, that he is a former gang member, who spent time in prison before turning his life around and switching to a vegan diet for both ethical and health reasons. (Really!)
Plus, I read that he claims to be a prominent advocate for veganism and that he campaigns for the movement and teaches fellow activists how to deal with common responses of meat eaters they engage. (This is totally wrong!)
Personally, I think that ‘OWV’ activists or headline grabbers like Crabstrong do not help to educate or promote the modern and far-reaching benefits of Veganism for our health and for our planet.
